The White-Red March instead of Independence March in Warsaw — the ideological bankruptcy

Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz (a member of Civic Party), the Warsaw Mayor, took the decision not to allow the Independence March, planned (as usual) on 11 November, on Nov. 7th. It was from the very beginning cristal clear that banning the march inflames tensions. The nationalist groupings that organised a march, being a part of tradition dated from the year 1894, wanted the event to be a march of Polish pride to celebrate the centennial of regaining of independence. Though the flagmen are gone, the flag remains… Some important facts first.

The Independence March was from 2010, as it was held for the first time, also a protest movement of the poor and deprived of any good prospects people of the country

A part of them does not cease his protest activities and will participate at the Polish Independence March in Breslau, organized by a radical ex-priest Jacek Międlar. Despite of the depicted above situation the march calmed down since three years, because there are no the plain clothes policemen covert actions, which were not unusual under the Civic Party government.

All this shows very clearly that the form of government can’t from iftsel safeguard the nations against despotism and abuse

The Independence March was depicted many times as xenophobic and being not free from racist connotations. Especially the slogan: "Europe must remain White or shall die" was fiercely criticized. But if you consider the real facts instead of wishful thinking, you have to admit that it sums up the condition of things. So to say, the managers of the huge West European manufacturing plant fail to see the long-term effects of their decisions. Besides, almost all political slogans should not be understood literally; people of other race whose behavior is calm have not much trouble in Poland. One criticized the Independence Marchers like a fool without knowing.

A noble President or rather many suspicious factors?

Ruling party initially kept its distance to the annual event. The ruling Law and Justice (PiS) have for years preferred to hold their own celebrations in the former Polish capital city Kraków. Quite surprisingly, for quite a while the Polish President Duda, being known for his very limited resilience to the demands of Brussels and Tel-Aviv, tried to persuade the organisers of the great Warsaw march to agree that the march would be held under only white and red flags, without any politically incorrect banners and be led by himself.

The PiS-connected political groupings do nothing to establish and maintain the marching movement. they were not beaten by the police or German far-left “guests” of Warsaw (till 2014). They only reluctantly admitted that homosexual marriages spearheaded by established professional politicians, the know-it-alls, and uncontrolled immigration from Africa and Asia have left the electorate at bay. They would never admit that it may be the main danger for Poland. But after Warsaw Mayor baned Independence March President Duda and the gov’t planed new rally — only few hours later!

We have here an open attempt of the authorities to assume the control over independent movement for free speech and national identity defence

After unexpected decision of President and Prime Minister “to take care over the dignified celebration of the Independence Day” harsh negotiations with the groupings responsible till yesterday for the Independence March followed. They had to accept many conditions. The march will be led by President Duda. All details of this event will be controlled by the Internal Security Bureau (the secret police). The nationals will have only one hour to celebrate the huge contribution of their leader Roman Dmowski into regaining the Polish independence one hundred years ago. The rest of celebrations should be devoted to his archenemy, the harsh inter-war dictator of Poland Pilsudski, being the main patron of Law and Justice party. Army troops and tanks are marching into the streets of Polish capital.

Would the leaders of the Polish national movement ignore the real lessons of the present-time world into the infinity?

I´m afraid, this unbearable situation is an unavoidable consequence of their false attitude towards Germany, Russia and Roman-Catholic Church. They make terrible and uneducated accusations against Germany and the Germans, Russia and Putin. They don´t see that German patriots are fighting for the survival of their own home country and Poland could be next nation forced to do the same thing if they loose. They don´t understand that Putin´s actions are much more reasonable and moderate than the foreign and internal politics of Western powers. They seems be blind as they speak about the Church of the popes being allegedly still an ally of the Polish or any other white nation. 

Unfortunately, the Law and Justice has very similar topics (Germans and Russians being allegedly responsible for all tragic events in the Polish history, extremely clerical attitude) for the naive Polish countryside voters. Therefore it's entirely logical, from the governing party´s point of view, to make attempts to overtake or destroy the present-time Polish national movement. If and how the Polish nationalists could disrupt these plans would be an quite important issue for Poland and whole Europe.
